Jessop Rise is a beautiful old house, but it has a dark past. Years ago, a young woman named Sarah was brutally murdered there. Her killer was never found, and her ghost is said to still haunt the house.
Emily, a young woman with a troubled past, moves into Jessop Rise with her husband and young son. She soon begins to experience strange and terrifying things. She hears noises in the night, sees shadows moving, and feels like she's being watched.
Emily is determined to uncover the truth about Sarah's murder and lay her ghost to rest. But as she digs deeper, she realizes that the house has a more sinister secret than she ever imagined.

I'm a big fan of ghost stories, and The Haunting of Jessop Rise is one of the best I've read in a long time. J.D. Barker does a great job of creating a sense of atmosphere and suspense, and the characters are well-developed and relatable.
The story is full of twists and turns, and I was kept guessing until the very end. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good ghost story.
